I am planning on making a top to go with them, but for now, a Joe Fresh tshirt will have to do.
I am not a Stephen King reader, Mr. Lina is a fan. We heard him speak while in New Orleans and I came home with a copy of this book, 11/22/63. I was between books so I figured I may as well check it out, what he read sounded interesting.
I'm going to take those pj's to bed. More details to come. Yay pj's!
I like em they look cozy and lightweight, perfect in my neck of the woods!
ReplyDeleteThank you! That describes them perfectly. They were quite comfortable all night.
DeleteOoh nice! I like the stripes!
ReplyDeleteThank you! They are very cheerful.
DeleteOh, they look cozy and sweet! I like the length too, a lot of pj shorts seem more like boxers these days.
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think of the Stephen King book! He's not my taste, but I have read some of his stuff and find him engrossing while I'm reading. I just never want to KEEP any of his books because....I wind up feeling disgusted after the fact. Ewww, haha.
Based on the weight of the book I'm wondering if anyone actually edits his work. The concept of the book is good so far but I'm not engrossed where I can't put it down at bed time. It's early still, I'm not attached to the characters quite yet.
DeleteAfter hearing him read from it, I can hear it in his voice in my head, that aspect is kind of odd. Like Robert Munsch books. My parents played tapes of him reading his books so now I always hear it in his voice. http://robertmunsch.com/books
As for the pj's, I eyeballed the length on the cutting table, making them longer than the red shorts. I like where they ended up too.
The pants look just so darling and oh-so- comfy!
ReplyDeleteI think the pj's turned out very cute!
ReplyDeleteAs for the SK book, I have been a fan since high school. He has gone through some phases where I felt the work was less than stellar. I found 11/23/64 to be a refreshing improvement from Under the Dome--and a return to some of his better works. However, a close friend who I typically share the opinion of has had the same trouble you have had getting "the gotta." My friend has been listening to it rather than reading it, but he tends to do that as he travels for gigs so ignore that I was going to say that listening might be a factor. :-)
"Phases where I felt the work was less than stellar" that pretty much sums up my husbands feelings too. I'm into the second section of the book now, I feel more attached to the main character, but I guess because I know it's a book about the past, being in the present still feels.. introduction/temporary, so it's like the journey hasn't started.
