I honestly didn't care about the ranking of schools, although Guelph does well on the MacLeans magazine ranking most years, it was just the right place for me. My youngest brother got caught in a school with few options when he wanted to change programs. He ended up switching schools to do what he wanted, but I still don't think that was the right place for him.Seraphinalinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12706215125457113080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945168277255989385.post-41152720782812792452011-11-14T12:32:10.253-05:002011-11-14T12:32:10.253-05:00I had a very difficult university experience -- hi...I had a very difficult university experience -- high school was actually better for me. I have two close friends from college, but more than that from high school. I think I made the mistake of going to a prestigious school instead of one that would have been a good fit for me, and because the school was so small, I wound up with fewer degree options. If I had gone somewhere else, it might have worked out better.

I also went to college in the American South, and as a die-hard progressive, big city girl, it was a massive culture shock. I have a rule in my marriage that "we will NEVER move below the Mason Dixon line" and I'm including Texas in that statement. Fortunately, the Hubs has no inclinations to live there either.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
